Technical assistance activities
Bilateral assistance
ADETEF and the ministerial directorates work on short-term and medium-term actions at the request of a partner administration (e.g. under a co-operation agreement). Financing may be French or provided by the beneficiary country.
European Union twinnings projects
The European Union finances 6- to 14-month twinning projects for which EU Member States and their public operators may submit proposals on their own or within consortiums.
ADETEF and the economy and finance ministries’ directorates are positioned mainly in institutional building projects, but they can also propose interministerial responses to other matters.
Multilaterally financed programmes
ADETEF draws on its network of experts, in association with other technical assistance players, to submit proposals for calls published by the European Union, international organisations (World Bank) and regional development banks (Asian Development Bank and African Development Bank).
The multilateral programmes often call for a combination of long-term, multiannual actions and short-term expertise (often in the form of training, seminars, study trips, etc.).
